An ensemble of curious musicians who present their own original music inspired by the lyrical melodies of Parisian street buskers, the powerful passion of Argentinian tango, the rhythmic energy of Afro-Cuban grooves and the exoticism of Eastern European melodies. Experience this music in the natural acoustic of the beautiful Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall nestled in the hinterland area of the Gold Coast.
2024 finalists for the Queensland Music Award in the Folk/World category, Zenekar have just released their all original debut album “Swirls” which will be available on CD at this concert.
Zenekar are Catharina Kemp on Clarinets and Composition, Samuel Vincent on Double Bass, John Reeves on Accordion and Dave Kemp on percussion & Composition.
