Surfers Paradise
Centring the voices of young people with lived and living experience, focused on raising awareness, sparking conversation, and celebrating young people.

Every young person deserves a place to call home.

Youth Homelessness Matters Day is an important moment each year to come together as a community, listen deeply, and stand alongside young people experiencing homelessness.

This year we invite you to join us for a special gathering that centres the voices of young people with lived and living experience. Together we will screen the powerful short documentary A Place To Call Home, and exclusive screening of Sold! Who Broke the Australian Dream? A funny and factual, solutions-led look at Australia's housing crisis, and the solutions at our fingertips. We will hear reflections from young people, and create space for conversation, connection and action.

There will also be creative, interactive activities, lunch, and free haircuts available for young people aged 12–25.

Everyone is welcome – young people, youth workers, community members and allies who care about ensuring every young person has a place to call home. Come along, listen, learn, and stand alongside young people in our community.
