A celebration of inclusion, community, and active living, bringing people of all abilities together for a fun-filled day at Pizzey Park.
Join us as we celebrate an exciting milestone – just 6 years to go until the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
With the valued support of City of Gold Coast, we are thrilled to host our annual Trec for Rec event at Pizzey Park. This much-loved community event brings people of all ages and abilities together for a day focused on inclusion, connection, health, and fun.
Participants can choose between a 5km or 10km walk around the beautiful Pizzey Park precinct, making the event accessible to everyone, whether you're a seasoned walker, a casual participant, or simply looking to enjoy an active day with family and friends.
Beyond the walk, Trec for Rec offers a vibrant festival atmosphere with a range of interactive activities delivered by our incredible community partners. Attendees will have the opportunity to try a variety of inclusive sports and recreational activities, including:
- Wheelchair basketball
- Rugby activations
- Putt putt golf
- Boccia
- And many more exciting experiences.
These activities provide a unique opportunity for people to learn about adaptive sports, experience new activities, and celebrate the diversity and strength of our community.
Trec for Rec is more than just a walking event – it's a celebration of inclusion, participation, and the power of recreation to bring people together. As we count down to Brisbane 2032, we are proud to showcase the values of the Olympic and Paralympic movements by creating opportunities for everyone to be active, engaged, and connected.
