Surfers Paradise
Travels Within presents a powerful collection of paintings and poetry, the same raw and evocative works feature in Julie’s book of the same title.

Gold Coast artist Julie Vincent presents Travels Within, a powerful collection of art and poetry birthed from her experience of escaping domestic violence, grappling with homelessness and completing her PhD. Proceeds support local homelessness outreach.

Julie returns with her first solo exhibition after more than two decades.

These works were created while under the intense pressure of completing her PhD research, a period when Julie was escaping domestic violence and navigating her own experience of homelessness. Rather than simply exploring these themes, the art and poetry serve as a raw expression of that time – a journey through a dark place that her faith ultimately carried her through.

This exhibition is also a fundraiser for Streets Presence, a Gold Coast community outreach initiative. Julie volunteers with this service, providing practical care and dignity to those experiencing homelessness. Proceeds from the exhibition will go to support this vital outreach across the region.

Opening Night: Friday 6 March at 6pm

Exhibition Dates: 6 March – 25 March 2026
