Named Dezeen’s Architecture Studio of the Year, Austin Maynard Architects is globally celebrated for turning complex spatial challenges into joyful, sustainable design. Driven by the belief that architecture must serve a broader social purpose, Andrew and his team deliver world-class design, from bespoke homes and hotels to pioneering urban communities.
In this session, Andrew will explore how thoughtful, highly adaptable design can address today’s climate and housing crises while fiercely prioritising joy and human connection. Drawing on Austin Maynard Architects' diverse portfolio – including their acclaimed sustainable apartment buildings Terrace House and ParkLife, alongside highly anticipated Parklife 2 and Thornbury House – Andrew will illustrate what it means to build for people and planet. Attendees will discover how Queensland can lead the way in adopting architectural models where sustainability is synonymous with wellbeing.
