Main Beach
Volunteer to dive below the surface to remove rubbish from our marine ecosystems or contribute to the cause by helping us pick up litter along the shore.

Sea World Foundation's Ocean Clean Up Community Event is back bigger and better than ever!

We're calling on Gold Coast ocean lovers to help us care for our beautiful ocean and wildlife that call it home. Then, celebrate with a free barbecue, live music, eco-activities and prizes at this family-friendly fun day out for all ages!

Be a Land Volunteer

By joining a land volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in picking up litter along the shore. We provide debris bags and have tongs and gardening gloves available for loan, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. This opportunity is perfect for all ages, but remember that volunteers under 18 years of age need to be supervised by a responsible adult for the entire event.

Become a Dive Volunteer

If you hold a recreation SCUBA qualification you can join as a Dive Volunteer. You will need to bring your own dive equipment, including a knife, gloves, snorkel, and safety sausage. Please ensure your gear is serviced and safe for participation. We provide marine debris bags to help you collect underwater litter. As a thank you, dive volunteers receive free tank refills for the event, courtesy of our amazing sponsors, Adreno Gold Coast and Gold Coast Dive Centre. Just head into the store and quote ‘Ocean Clean Up’ for your refill.

Register today and make a difference!

This project has received funding support from the Queensland Government’s Community Sustainability Action grant program.
