Experience creativity in action as local and international artists bring walls to life across Miami, Nobby Beach and Burleigh Heads.

Every winter, SURFACE Festival transforms the Gold Coast into a vibrant open-air gallery, celebrating creativity through large-scale public art, live events and community experiences.

Across two weeks, local, national and international artists bring walls to life with live mural painting, while a packed program of exhibitions, gallery nights, workshops, family-friendly activities, live music and cultural events invites the community to experience art in every form.

With more than 52 permanent murals, the SURFACE Art Trail can be explored year-round via a self-guided walking or cycling tour. During the festival, visitors have the unique opportunity to watch new works come to life, meet the artists behind them and immerse themselves in one of Australia's leading public art festivals.

SURFACE Festival is a celebration of creativity, culture and connection, showcasing the Gold Coast as a destination where art belongs in the streets and everyone is invited to experience it.
