This free fundraising cultural event is for everyone to experience our Romanian traditions, costumes, music, dance, food, sport and art crafting.

The "IA" (pronounced "ee-ah") Romanian Festival returns to the Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands!

The IA has inspired fashion designers worldwide and is celebrated every June 24th as Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse (Ziua Iei) since 2022, along with the art of the Romanian and Moldovan blouse embroidery, when the UNESCO added them to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

We are showcasing our Romanian traditions, including:

artisanal craft workshops, including Easter egg decorating and wooden-spoon painting
traditional music and dance performances
authentic Romanian cuisine
cultural displays and traditional costumes.

Come along and help us not only to keep the tradition alive but to pass this great heritage to our young generations!
