Positive Postcards 'Creative & Connected' Workshop
Saturday 11 October 2025 | 01:00 PM
Ormeau
A bold and bright workshop where words, colour, composition and (reasonable) optimism combine.
Originally born as a creative coping gesture from Claudio Kirac during the 2020 lockdowns, to share hopeful messages without the toxic positivity, this series has evolved into a hands-on workshop to create your own set of postcards using mixed media (like Posca pens, tape, stenciling and hand lettering).
Keep ‘em as personal pick-me-ups, swap them with others, or send them out into the world to brighten someone’s day.
Artists: Claudio Kirac & Michelle Le Plastrier.
Wellbeing Benefits: The simple act of putting a positive message into words has been shown to lift mood and counter negative self-talk.
Aligning with Queensland Mental Health Week, Creative & Connected is a series of free creative workshops to brighten your day. Come as you are, leave feeling more creative and connected!
Creative and Connected is supported by Queensland Government through Arts Queensland’s Queensland Art Showcase Program and Paradise Point and Pimpama-Ormeau Community Bank. This project is also supported by Officeworks and We Sell Prints.
