About SHARKO

SHARKO is a feature-length father-and-son documentary exploring the life and legacy of rugby league icon Mark “Sharko” Graham, told through the eyes of his son and filmmaker, Luke Graham.

Named New Zealand Player of the Century in 2007 and the first New Zealander inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame, Mark Graham is remembered as one of the toughest and most influential figures to ever play the game.

Blending family archives, recreations and footage from a career spanning three continents, SHARKO goes beyond the highlights reel – offering a deeply human story about fathers and sons, identity, masculinity and how rugby league shapes generations.

A fitting and meaningful way to launch the NRL season together.
