The Mateship Run returns, honouring Remembrance Day with a symbolic 11.11km distance, tackled solo or in a 3-person relay.
With additional 5km and 2.5km junior events, plus entertainment, kids’ activities, and great food, it’s a day for everyone to get involved. The event also raises vital funds and awareness for the Veterans Support Centre, supporting our servicemen and women.
The 11.11km acknowledging Remembrance Day itself, which commemorates the signing of the Armistice to end World War One at the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month. And why 2.4km? Well, the fitness tests for the Australian Forces includes running 2.4km as part of their training! We think its a great combination to acknowledge the past and present effort by our Armed Forces troops.
The event will be raising funds and awareness for the incredible work of the Veterans Support Centre in supporting our servicemen and women.
There's also a shorter 5km option and a 2.5km Junior event so everyone can be involved. There'll be some live entertainment, activities for the kids and of course food and beverage options as well so get your mates and sign up for the 2025 Mateship Run today!
