Explore the Botanic Gardens with your kids these school holidays and learn about the native animals that live in the hollows of trees.

Many Australian native animals live in hollows. At the Botanic Gardens some old veteran trees support a myriad of wildlife.

A number of nesting boxes have been installed to increase the wildlife at the Gardens. Look up to find the hollows and take home a booklet about how Hollows are Homes. Create a clay model of one of the animals.

Suitable for 5 to 12 years.

Wear closed in shoes, a shady hat and bring a water bottle.

Meet at the Rotary Education Pavilion.
