The Lower Beechmont Rural Fire Brigade during TC Alfred

Sunday 21 June 2026 | 01:00 PM

Nerang
An event to bring together Gold Coast hinterland residents and leaders to build disaster resilience.

This event brings together residents and local leaders from across our beautiful hinterland – from Currumbin Valley to Wongawallan – to foster grassroots readiness, resilience and connection.

It’s a unique opportunity to network, share stories of lived experience, and exchange innovative ideas for a more resilient future. There will be free activites to entertain kids too!

A highlight of the afternoon will be the Big Map session, an interactive collaborative exercise to visualise our community’s strengths. Let’s build a stronger, better-connected hinterland together.
