Saturday 28 June 2025

Join the fun at Gold Coast Libraries with free holiday activities inspired by classic children's stories.

Celebrating classic children’s literature with fun, free, hands-on school holiday activities that bring timeless stories to life.

Whether it’s creating your own Dorothy or Glinda from The Wizard of Oz, folding a hedgehog from a Beatrix Potter book, or weaving a colourful Elmer inspired by David McKee’s beloved elephant, there’s something for every young reader. Kids can also craft their favourite May Gibbs gumnut babies, create a miniature Secret Garden diorama, or take on a brave adventure with Stuart Little.

Recommended for children aged 6 to 12 years, each activity sparks imagination and creativity while celebrating classic characters and stories. Don’t miss out, book your free spot now and join in the fun!
