Go behind the scenes to discover how seawater is transformed into clean, safe drinking water for South East Queensland.

On this guided tour, you'll follow the journey of water from the ocean as it enters the plant and moves through a multi-stage treatment process that removes salt and impurities. See cutting-edge technology up close and learn how the plant produces high-quality drinking water for South East Queensland. To complete the experience, you'll even have the chance to taste the finished product – fresh, high quality desalinated water.

The plant is not normally open to the public, making this a rare opportunity chance to step inside an essential piece of infrastructure. Places are limited, so bookings are essential!

Please note: Participants must be aged 12 years and over. Guests aged 12–18 must be accompanied by an adult. All visitors are required to wear personal protective equipment, including full-length trousers, long-sleeved shirt and enclosed flat shoes, while on site.

Hard hats, high-visibility vests and safety glasses will be provided to all participants.
