An enchanting journey through the sensual beauty and shimmering energy of French and French-inspired music, featuring Saint-Saëns, Mascagni, Ravel and more.
Internationally acclaimed musicians Margaret Louise Blades (violin), Karol Kowalik (cello), and Emily Granger (harp) come together for French Connection at Bond University on the Gold Coast, presenting an intimate chamber concert that explores lyrical beauty, rich colour, and the musical connections between Russian and French traditions.
Featuring works by Pietro Mascagni, Mikhail Glinka, Charles Gounod, Johann Sebastian Bach, Camille Saint-Saëns, Maurice Ravel, and Nadia Boulanger, the program moves from the beloved Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana to Ravel’s virtuosic Duo and Boulanger’s luminous Cantique.
Collectively, these distinguished artists have performed in many of the world’s leading concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein, Concertgebouw, Wigmore Hall, and the Sydney Opera House, and have appeared with major orchestras and ensembles across Australia, Europe, and North America, bringing to this performance a wealth of international experience, acclaimed artistry, and a shared passion for musical storytelling.
Strictly limited seating for this exclusive afternoon performance. Bookings essential.
