Great evening of jazz music, featuring Dan Quigley on trumpet, Will Sargisson on piano, Nick Quigley on bass and Chris Evans on drums.

Dan Quigley is an Australian jazz trumpet player, composer and bandleader. Dan grew up in a musical family playing in brass bands, orchestras, and big bands. During his school years he performed with the Australian National Youth Band and Queensland Youth Wind Ensemble. He started his professional career while still in high school performing with his father's big band. Since his early 20s Dan has had a passion for performing, education and advocacy for jazz.

As a professional musician for over 2 decades, Dan has performed with some of the world’s best musicians including The Australian National Jazz Orchestra, Jazz at Lincoln Centre members Vincent Garnder and Shirman Irby, James Morrison, Jerome Jennings, Rodney Whitaker, Mike Nock, Dale Barlow, Judy Bailey, Jamie Oehlers, Grace Knight, David Campbell, Yothu Yindi, Tim Rogers amongst many more.

Dan enjoys a reputation for being steeped in the jazz tradition, marking his main inspirations as Louis Armstrong, Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, Art Farmer and Wynton Marsalis.

Doors open at 6pm, concert commences at 7pm. Bar and bistro available.

Presented by the Gold Coast City Jazz Club. Concerts held twice monthly, usually on the first and third Tuesday.
