Join us for a great afternoon of live acoustic music filled with community spirit where musicians and music lovers come together.

I’m particularly excited about the feature act for the Coast Acoustics April open mic afternoon. I’ve been trying to book Dennis for quite a while, but scheduling conflicts always seemed to get in the way. Having heard him perform at other venues, I can say his rendition of Deep River Blues is truly something special.

Dennis brings an upbeat mix of original tunes, folk favourites and old-time bangers, delivered with banjo, mandolin, guitar and a real love of the craft. His songs and stories draw on broken love, dark nights of the soul and the rich traditions of Americana and roots music, making for a performance full of character, warmth and energy.

Please note: Due to a recent increase in venue hire fees we have had to increase the open mic entry fee from a gold coin donation to $5. This is still a very cheap way to enjoy an afternoon of wonderfully talented musicians and keep the club viable so we have a space to showcase our talented members.

Program

12:30pm to 3:00pm – Open Mic (White Board Session) Bring your stories, your instruments, your voice, your favourite song- whatever your heart desires. The stage is open to all. Sign-ups are first-come, first-served.
3:30pm to 4:30pm – Grab a cold drink from our bar, sit back, and be entertained by Dennis.

Our open mic stands out from others with a dedicated audience, no distractions and a professional sound setup.

Bar notice: Our bar is cash-only. But don't worry, you can easily grab some cash at the front counter using your EFTPOS card.
