The City of Gold Coast light and unity vigil invites Gold Coasters to stand together – to support our local Jewish community, and show that hate has no place in this country.

On 14 December 2025, an antisemitic attack during Chanukah celebrations at Bondi Beach shook Australia. This tragedy targeted the Jewish community and challenged our nation’s values of safety, inclusion and respect.

The City of Gold Coast Light & Unity Vigil invites Gold Coasters to stand together – to honour the victims, support our local Jewish community, and show that hate has no place in this country.

Tickets are free but limited to 4 per order.

Attendees are welcome to bring along camping chairs (back of chair no higher than 100cm), picnic rugs/ blankets and small pillows to make yourself comfortable.

  • 5.00pm - Gates open
  • 6.00pm - Vigil commences
  • 7.30pm - Vigil concludes
