The Chinese New Year Finale has been the result of bringing various ethnic cultural communities together since to Covid lockdown 2021 when everyone were restricted from mixing publicly.
The Australian National Chinese Women’s Federation (ANCWF) persuaded local government to allow them to host a New Year event that local council had been supporting for years in Southport to revise the event under very strict conditions at the Broadbeach Parklands and Seniors Centre.
Come and join us this year, bring your entire family. Enjoy the spender of Chinese and other culture with lions and dragons attracting you to mingle around many multicultural displays within the park area.
Then enjoy a free two-hour theatrical experience of song and dance within the centre where entertainers from Chinese cultural backgrounds will perform inside the community centre.
Consider using public transport or active travel. Plan your trip with Translink's journey planner.
Parking may be limited. For metered parking, use the EasyPark app to start, end, and extend your parking direct from your phone to avoid fines. For more information visit City of Gold Coast's Parking page.
