Big Map Community Session – Build a Safer Stronger Gold Coast
Saturday 28 June 2025 | 10:00 AM
Labrador
Take part in a unique and interactive community session aimed at strengthening local knowledge and boosting disaster preparedness across.
Led by the team from Disaster Relief Australia, this hands-on session features the Big Map, an innovative Geographic Information System (GIS)-powered tool inspired by military war game theory.
The Big Map allows community members to identify local risks, share past experiences, and work together on strategies to prepare for future disasters. Whether you're new to disaster planning or already involved in community resilience, your voice is important.
This is a great opportunity to:
- strengthen your local knowledge
- connect with neighbours and experts
- contribute to building a safer, more resilient Gold Coast.
Reserve your place. A light lunch will be provided.

Proudly supported by Councillor Joe Wilkinson, Division 7.
