Asia Pacific Screen Awards and Forum
Wednesday 28 October 2026
Broadbeach
A world-class celebration of Asia Pacific cinema, bringing together filmmakers, industry leaders and award-winning storytelling to the Gold Coast.
Proudly supported by Australia's Gold Coast, the 19th Asia Pacific Screen Awards and Forum returns this October — marking a pivotal moment as APSA heads towards its 20th Anniversary and continues its evolution from an awards platform into a true cultural and industry engine for the Asia Pacific screen sector.
Recognised by FIAPF as one of the world's prestigious film prizes, APSA brings together filmmakers, producers, distributors and industry leaders from across the Asia Pacific for a celebration built on three pillars:
- Celebration – honouring the region's finest films and filmmakers through the Asia Pacific Screen Awards
- Connection – bringing together the Asia Pacific screen community from 78 countries and areas
- Collaboration – fostering co-productions, partnerships and pathways that strengthen the region's screen industry
The accompanying Forum is designed for practitioners ready to take their work further – built on the philosophy of come with a project, leave with a pathway, connecting filmmakers with the relationships and opportunities that turn ideas into outcomes.
But APSA isn't just for industry. Everyone is welcome to be part of the celebration – with public screenings at Event Cinemas Pacific Fair and the Opening Night Gala on Wednesday 28 October at The Star, featuring a special tribute to Jack Thompson AM, President of the Academy since its founding.
Held across The Star, Gold Coast, from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 October 2026, with the Awards Ceremony on Friday 30 October, this year's event is proudly co-located with the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) – bringing an unprecedented concentration of international and Australian screen industry professionals to the Gold Coast.
