7 Years to Go until City Co-Hosts Olympic Games 2032 Brisbane.
As we celebrate 7 Years to Go until the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2032 Brisbane, we’re inviting Gold Coast residents to Robina’s Greenheart on Wednesday 23 July to take part in 7 Years to Grow.
Starting at 10:00am the event will focus on growth – both in terms of personal development for everyone and environmental sustainability and community engagement.
Free Tree Giveaway – receive a Wallum Banksia (Banksia aemula), the City of Gold Coast’s official floral and arboreal emblem.
Like the athletes training for Brisbane 2032, this native tree will grow and flourish over the next seven years, with its flowers transitioning from green to pale yellow – a tribute to Australia’s iconic green and gold.
You can also find out how to get involved and take conservation action through tree planting, wildlife encounters, marine education, guided walks and more.
FREE - 7 Years to Grow activities include:
- Tree giveaway (10am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 2pm) – Wallam Banksia, the City of Gold Coast’s official floral and arboreal emblem.
- Reptile display (10am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 2pm) – and kids' play wildlife hospital
- A&H 1st Fives FUNdamentals (10am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 2pm) – packed with fun games and interactive activities, our program teaches the FUNdamentals. For kids aged 2 to 6 years.
- A&H Tai Chi Class (10:30am to 11:15am) – Tai chi is a healing martial art combining many movements with qi (energy), circulation, breathing and stretching techniques.
- A&H Stroller Group (11am to 11:30am) - Join other parents and their bubs for this fun, outdoor, postnatal exercise session designed to help you regain and improve your health, fitness and wellbeing.
Don’t forget to snap a pic in our fun wildlife selfie frames and with the Olympic Rings and Paralympic Agitos.
This event will help grow a greener future, strengthen community spirit and nurture the next generation of champions – both in sport and sustainability.
